STRENGTHENING THE SCHOOL THROUGH THEATER ARTS
SSTTA is an in-school program that serves students and teachers in inner-city elementary and high schools through training in the theatre arts.

This program is designed to:

Enhance learning as well as cognitive and social skill development of students in Chicago Public Schools

Equip teachers with strategies to improve classroom management

Empower teachers to teach curriculum through theatre arts
The SSTTA program uses curriculum that incorporates acting exercises used by professional theatre arts performers.
Activities incorporate elements of drama, dance, and music to enhance the learning environment.
